How we work
How we update prices and product details
What the numbers on our pages are, where they come from, and how often we refresh them.
The catalog was last updated on September 15, 2026. Prices, letters and finishes can change between our updates, and when the price at checkout differs from the one on our page, the checkout price is the one that applies.
What we update
Prices for every letter, length, month and finish, and whether each one is available. A letter that sells out in one finish leaves that finish at the next update, and comes back by itself when it returns.
Chain and extender lengths, pendant sizes, base metals, plating, stones and closures come from our own product data. When two descriptions of the same piece disagree, we print the more careful one, or leave the detail out.
How often
We update the catalog on a schedule, and more often in the weeks before gifting holidays, when letters and birthstone months sell out fastest.
Ratings
The ratings on our pages are the average and the count from shoppers of each line. Several styles of one line share one pool of ratings, and our pages say so where that happens.
Photographs
Our photographs are of our own pieces. We leave out frames with measurements, words or collages printed over them, and frames too small to show the piece clearly.
Our guides and their sources
Our guides about plating, sterling silver, nickel and birthstones quote public sources: the Federal Trade Commission, the American Academy of Dermatology, MedlinePlus, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the American Gem Society. We read each source before we cite it, and the date we read it is printed beside it.
